Connelly Classic

  • Design
  • High Quality Construction
  • Reasonable Price
  • Versatile

  • Might be a little too tippy for beginners
  • Not ideal for heavy riders

Great design, all around performance, and classic features.

Classic SUP Board by ConnellyThe Connelly name makes some of us drift back to days on the lake with a pair of water skis. These guys have been around for a long time, and their expertise in SUP design comes as no surprise.

What I really love about the Connelly Classic SUP is the appearance. It’s design definitely makes a bold statement on the water, but maintains a classic look for water sports enthusiasts.

As for construction, the Classic features 2 full-length wood stringer EPS core, epoxy construction wrapped in 2 layers of fiberglass on top, and 3 layers on bottom, soft CNC cut EVA footbed and pad, auto vent, and center-weighted grasp handle.

The Connelly Classic SUP board is ideal for those of us looking to use stand up paddleboarding as a way to get or stay in shape while getting some time on the water.

These boards are built for ease of use and durability, enabling novice riders to hop on a board and start paddling right away. However, if you need more stability, the Connelly is 30″ wide in the middle, so it could be a little tippy for heavier, beginner paddlers.

This board has a list price of $1300 but is currently on sale.

At we are a team who love the water, the outdoors, and are more than grateful that our full-time job allows us to review stand up paddle boards. We paddle year round (it helps that we are just about 2 hours outside of Las Vegas), and we bring in a wide range of paddlers with the goal of providing our readers with the best, most in-depth, and accurate stand up paddle board reviews.
