Sea Gods Announces New Sol Flyer Hybrid Longboard iSUP

Sea Gods Sol Flyer CX iSUP

Canadian SUP brand Sea Gods has been making high quality inflatable paddle boards with eye-popping designs for the last five years. Each iteration has brought new shapes, constructions and designs. Now we’re starting to see a sneak peek of 2024 models starting with the brand new Sol Flyer CX hybrid longboard iSUP.

Note: The Sol Flyer is currently only available for Pre Sale through the Sea Gods Canada website (seagods.ca). If you get redirected to the US or AUS websites, you’ll need to manually set it back to see the board!

A Radical New Design For A Radical New Design

I love the look of Sea Gods’ paddle boards. In fact, I’ve not met someone who hasn’t loved the look of these head-turning boards. By partnering with artists worldwide, Sea Gods brings a truly elevated look to the water.

The new Sol Flyer iSUP features a beautifully vibrant piece of artwork by surf artist Eduardo Bolioni, based out of Hawaii. His painting “Flyer” has been adapted for the Sol Flyer, and is part of the inspiration for the board’s name. A bright orange background with blue banana leaves and black and white flying fish cover every square inch of the board’s deck and hull.

The artwork isn’t the only unique thing about the Sol Flyer. This paddle board has a rather interesting shape that is reminiscent of a longboard-style surfboard.

The Sol Flyer is 11’ long, 33” wide, and 6” thick. The board outline is continuously curved from the wide nose, through the forward wide point, and continues to a relatively small tail with a distinct point. It uses Sea Gods’ CX construction for a rigid, lightweight, and durable build.

Sea Gods founders Ryan and Mandy Johnson came up with this size and shape as an evolution, but not a replacement, of the Elemental Wave CX. The curved outline and narrow tail make it more nimble, but the wide shape in the front of the board keeps it stable.

If you regularly paddle in coastal areas where you split your time between flat water and the surf zone, this hybrid board shape is built for you.

In addition to the new shape, the Sol Flyer will have a new split-design fin box and comes packaged with a new higher-efficiency and more compact hand pump.
